Looking to see if anyone has some good information/tips on fishing Kootenay Lake? We are going in mid April and staying/fishing around the Kaslo/Fry creek area.

I am assuming you have a boat? Trolling 150ft+ line fast troll 3-4mph try around creek mouths. Bucktails, Hockey sticks, Rapala plugs ect all work. The big Gerrards should be coming out of the depths to feed on the Kokanee in the lake.Making it a good time to try bucktails for best results a bit of chop is better for bucktails. Anything that resembles a Kokanee should get some attention if the big bows are active. If you want Bulls/Dollys try going deeper...
