Well just got back from the annual camping trip with the family - you know the ones where your wife says it's "about the family and not fishing?" Too bad honey, I managed to drown a few flies anyways because I just brought the kids with me. She didn't object to this, funny. ;) Anyways it was a great trip, weather was cool, cloudy and a tad windy but not a drop of rain which is a first for us an a camping trip. The fishing was slow I believe because the water was so warm. It ranged from 65 to 70 degrees! :-\ The were tons of fish showing on the sonar all at the shoal area drop offs in about 20 feet of water on the north part of the lake. In 6 hours of fishing (split between four days) we had 5 hookups and 3 fish landed. My daughter was pretty excited to play her fish on my little single action reel and little noddle rod. I also got a chance to break in my new 15 HP Mercury with a little tubing and cruising around.

Here's a slideshow of our trip.http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b189/JRMinkus/?action=view&current=6c4d04ef.pbw

Thanks Young Gun. I forgot to mention that when I was pulling the boat out of the water there was a father and son alos packing up their gear at the boat launch and I noticed a fat 4 pounder in their boat. I asked them what they were using and the one fellow said, "grey shrimps." :pissed: The only pattern I didn't try. Typical.
