I was just there for a few days and returned today. Stake and Lodgepole were closed as they were using the lakes for water to fight the fire.
No signs of the fire burning (ie. no smoke).
We fished Lac with nominal success (8 fish in 2 days) and today we fished Waloper and it was nuts. Tons of fish (over 50 between us) but all very small. Most were 7-11 inches and a couple were over 12. Sporting fun with light 3 & 4 wieght rods.
Most fish were caught on 52 Buicks, small leeches (light brown and wine colors)
Water was extremely warm so I doubt the fishing will last much longer

I just returned from Lac Le Jueune a few days ago, I was there for three days.
Caught nothing at all, cept for a few sticks and a whole pile of weeds haha.
Water was warm so I imagine that had alot to do with the unproductive fishing.
Just as a question parbuster, where excactly on the lake were you fishing off of?

We pretty well covered most of the shore on the southern and eastern sides.
The shoals allong the southern shore are the productive spots

This is definitely not my favorite lake to fish. Spend an extra 2 minutes and drive to Stake Lake. Less people and boats
