I'm new to using a large arbor fly reel and just had to say how much I really enjoy fishing it. Mine is a Snowbee Geo but the make probably secondary to my point in this post. Being able to catch up to a crazy coho that runs at break-neck speed from 100' out to inshore, goes around behind me then screams back out to the deep water taking me back into my backing is just awesome. And line memory seems to be less of an issue too, the larger coils don't seem to hold the memory as much as the small coils on the smaller reels. I've always gone the cheap route with my reels...I mean all it does is hold the fly line...the rod is the important part...and the angler. But I can say without any doubt that I am really enjoying my fishing much more now using a quality reel...I even feel sorry for the fish sometimes...with such a smooth reel and fast line retrieve the fish don't stand much of a chance once hooked.
