Hi fellas,

Kim and I had a great time on our return visit to the Yak this last weekend. Unlike the last time I was there in early March all of the fish were caught on dry flies. Nice not to have to cast those dropper/indicator rigs.

There were good Skwala and BWO hatches happening and great times were to be had. As a wise man recently said I do not feel like writing (too many reports going on at work right now- plenty of writing there) so the pics will have to do. Enjoy.

A size 8-10 Skwala, soup de jour for the trip

Umptanum creek trail- A nice hike for those so inclined

Nice westslope good job Kim!

Deadly Skwala imitation framed by a nice little westslope

Spent BWO's drifting in a backeddy after a huge afternoon hatch

Very nice bow, the scowl is due to the 30mph wind howling down the valley at the time (it was meant to be a smile)

Kim casting in tight quarters surrounded by nice red dogwoods.

Surprise! Another westslope I though there were only supposed to be a few in here........

Thats it hope you enjoy the pics , I am glad to have had some great dry fly action under my belt this early in the year! What a treat.

Great pictures!............I often wonder how many people drive past such places/or walk and never realize the potential of fishing in such areas...Choosing the "correct" fly and matching what is floating in the creek/river also helps.....Well done, my friend!.....Ortho 8)

Thanks for the Ea. Wa blast to the past again. I had a nasty wipe out on my motorcycle just up a little ways from where you took that pic on the Umptanum creek trail.
