Heading up there to a buddies house on the lake and taking the boat and tube to fish some of the lakes in the area. Where's a good spot to try? Could try Birkenhead and Blackwater. Will be there 31st till 4th.

Cheers, Rob

Had a great time. Didn't fish anywhere else as it seemed to be the only dry place. It was raining at both ends of the lakes and surrounding areas. Fished with spinning rods and caught a few small trout and dollies. We did land and release 4 white springs in the lake. That was fun. Thanks to my buddy for hosting such a great trip.

glad you had fun Mars, how far down the lake is the cabin you where staying in ? My friends cabin is around the 20 km mark off the main road. I have seen huge springs in the river and in the lake and even hooked into one of those slabs on a 6 wt. flyrod in the narrows for about 1 min. but what a min it was. Every inch of line and backing gone off my reel before I could even light a smoke !!!!!

He's at gate 5 about 7-8km's off the main road. Caught all the fish at the 2nd last point on the north side, west end of the lake. All right off the surface with a chrome crock and spinning reel. Fun to C&R. 2 were in my boat and 2 in another. I have a little (3meg) vidio of my buddy with his on Sunday morning. I'm collecting all the pictures this week from the trip.

Cheers, Rob
