any one ever takin any good sized browns out of the little q? I caught a few but they topped out at 15", and most of them were more like 8". Just wondering if anyone has caught any good ones or if that's pretty much what to expect

that bout all ive heard from the Q, the bigguns lurk in the cow. fisheries swimmers seen them upto 20 lb. 6-10 lbs not too uncommon

I doubt those were browns are you sure they were not cutts? Maybe some browns near the lake but not many at all below. Ive got prob 100 cutts/bows and not one brown.

yes the little q does have a small population of browns this i know because i did a trip to the island and wanted to know what streams have browns in them so i did some research and the little q is one of them! not as many as the cow but none the less has browns!

definatley browns

Yes they were definately browns, your right though, I've heared there are browns in the whole river, but like you said, I've only caught them within probably a couple to three cliks of the lake. There are also several other rivers on the island holding browns aside from the cowichan.
