Does anyone know of a cabin, on a lake (with a few fish in it!!) , in the Merritt area, or the Princeton area? I am thinking 2nd or 3rd week of July. Electricity, running hot/cold water, indoor bathroom.

A dock would be nice. Would need some sort of launch for my 14 ".

It would just be my better half and myself for a week.

I usually try to book 3 or 4 days at Knouff lake every year myself. Only cold water, and you have to walk to the john (short walk), unless you rent the red house, then you get it all. http://www.knoufflake.com/

You could have a blast at Salmon Lake on the Douglas Lake Ranch. Fish the far end of the Lake around the weed bed ....... some nice fish there. Also has a pool for you to have a nice refreshing dip just before bedtime. :thumbup:

I have rented many cabins,the latest one was last week at salmon lake as Go Fish suggested.We went all out and rented Twiggs Place for a week :happy:You can leave your boat anchord to your own private dock and chironomid off the back side of it,thats how close the action was.Fish Harrys Dam if you go.All lakes are included in the rental.Im saving for next year. :thumbup:

Merritt second Weekend in July, it will be 100% pure gong show up there as the Music Fest is the 12th to the 15th, people usually arrive upwards of a week prior and they get real stupid real fast.

IMHO I avoid Merritt all together in July...

they arrive as early as the longweekend in july. the year i went first guy in the line was there july 3rd. we went up 4 days before the gates opened and were 694 in line. lots of fun but by the time we got down in the campground area we were almost partied out and there was still 6 days till it ended. next time i'll book a extra day or two afterwards for recovery time.

Booked into Loon lake. Spoke to the lodge owner about the Music Fest. He assured me there are no problems in that area. Will be taking day trips to Hium as well as Big Bar.
