Went out today and the fishing was pretty quiet. The only thing that was not quiet was the guy just up river with his f this and f that with a few c words thrown in here and there. Sure great to here with kids around (not). I did manage to hook two and land one. After noon it got real quiet both on the beach and in the river. Good thing it was my last trip to Duncan bar.

Also I herd that they where netting pretty heavily from portman down. I guess that's why the fishing was slow.

Was that you that tried to hit that seal with a rock. That spot that you guys where in was also on fire on friday as well as wednesday. The area we where in for some reason is slow. Oh well it is just nice to be out. Next trip will be to another river.

Why did he throw a rock at the seal LOL ?? I saw him do that also LOL !!!

That spot is good, thats why i always go there along with bar fishing that spot when i was younger, BUT !!! that spot you were at FLYGUY is good also that whole stretch from where the rock beach starts all along the mud/sand beach where i stand is good along that entire section. also just above poplar bar is good from there to the rocky part of the beach

Well i didn't make it to duncan bar but managed to hit up Edgewater bar! Fished the incomming tidewith no hits in different pink spoons and spinners! High slack was 8 pm tonight and still no fish for me! I was suprised of the amount of people on shore and in boats today along with a few net boats out there that i seen! The fish were on fire about an hour before i got there and died off just befor i started fishing(yeah right) If it wasn't for bad luck today i'd have none at all! The water on an incomming tide is very murky and at best had 1 ft visibality the whole time i was there! I'm thinking on a droping tide would be better fishing from shore! Thinking hitting the river again first light somewhere different! Seen no fish landed by shore fishermen but the boats got right on top of them and had great luck! Just not my time yet! Cleaned up a bit of garbage i found on the beach and called it a day! Maybe tomorrow!

Was out at Derby Reach on Saturday, just down from the Old Fort.
Saw one up river caught then another then I got one, (pinks) then a guy 20 or 30 feet down river hooked a young Dino and watched him for a while.
He landed it and it was about 4.5 feet.
Was out about an hour or so.
Sunday, went to the same, a lot more people but no fish. No one was getting anything.

Well no problam for me at Brownsville. They just keep comming in waves just like the anglers
fishin for them...They seem to be taking anything that moves on a line. Not as easy as it sounds
though just have to put the lure infront of them.... :beerchug: Marko

did the tide play a role at brownsville Marko? the bar i have been hitting seems best on the down and when its fully down and then for a bit on the upturn

You are correct...!!! We found the same. I think when the flood comes they only think of one thing,
kinda makes sense.... :beerchug: Marko

Well i fished the lower fraser this morrning! got to duncan bar around first light and fished at a spot HOOK told me was a honey hole! What a crock of crap HOOK!!(lol j/k)
Tide was on the way out and the fish were everywhere! But honestly you think i myself could hook and land a fish today? I tryed pink croc's in the 1/4 oz size got a few hook ups but nothing really stuck! The guy fishing beside me had 3 somewhat clean fish on the beach and he lost his last lure, so the nice guy i am give him one of mine and of coarse he got his 4th in like 3 cast later! I finally did get a fish hooked and not lost around 12pm using a 1/4 oz pink and white croc with 6lb main line! This pink was huge for as far as pinks go, i figure it was a 7-8 lb doe bright chrome and fat! No more hook ups for the next hr so we left around 1pm! Hook and Wagommaster said thet were doing the afternoon shift on this bar so how did you guys make out?
