From what I know, GreenTimbers and Mill lakes got stocked on march 11th. 100 broodstocks each, fish weigh up to 7,8 lb. Imagine the fight if you get one on the rod.

alright thanks for the info....went up to squamish for the day yesterday....fished cat in the morning and hiked into edith in the afternoon. Fishing at cat was decent but the water was absolutely freezing. Me and my buddies managed a few all solid size between 14-17 inches. Edith was a bust, i know it hasnt been stocked yet and we didnt see a thing, when it gets stocked in the next month or so it will be good as it always is.

Keep checking in everyday they usually update it 1 day after stocking.
Mill lake in abbotsford was stocked im 100% sure since I drive by there almost everyday and see plenty of people catching trouts.

I was at green timbers last Saturday and a Chinese guy who was fly fishing a little ways down from my friends and I. He caught a nice 4 pounder (which he released). They big ones are there! Just not easy to catch.... ??? I tried fishing a piece of worm with a bobber but got nothing, I'm going to try a green powerbait ball on the bottom next time and see if that produces anything. Do you guys have any suggestions as to what I should try using in order to catch a trout in green timbers? In all the times I've been there all I've caught is bullheads and some kind of small carp looking fish (both on worms).

Lead sinker > size 10 barrel swivel > 24 inch leader (6-8 lbs. max) > size 10 baitholder hook > 3 berkley powereggs
(orange or green)

I've had better luck with powereggs over a ball of powerbait

I've always used the green Powerbait and shaped it into a grub - kind of molded it to cover the hook.

Be warned that using Powerbait on the bottom will result in "gut-hooking" a lot of fish.
The fish swallow the bait completely before you set the hook and the hook is very difficult to get out without a tool.

Yes you should use a disgorger when fishing powerbait as they tend to inhale the bait for quite some time before you can react to the bite! Also eggs are better when the water is colder (now) as paste works better (clouds around the paste ball) when water temp comes up a bit...
