It is a shame we have a bunch of wankers on the sight who seem to think they are great fishermen because they can identify (or think they can) a section of water a picture exposes, and think it somehow enhances the minuscule size of their "shortcomings" by trying to name an area the original poster has attempted to keep quiet . Also too bad that some folks don't realize that if everyone on the site can recognize the spot they landed the fish at, it really isn't a secret. This is the kind of behaviour that you expect on other sites (i won't name them, but you know them) and is a real drag to see happening here more and more often. If someone posts a thread about their fishing and doesn't name the water, especially if they are obvious about the omition, why don't we leave it alone. Don't try to make yourself look like the big man you wish you were by naming it for him, or make yourself look small by begging him to tell you where it is. If you really do know where the fish was caught, PICK UP YOUR GEAR AND DRAG YOUR SORRY BUTT OUT THERE AND FISH!!. If you have seen a half dozen anglers on the same water you landed your beauty on, maybe you don't need to be so coy and try to make it look like you have found the honey hole of honey holes and no one knows about it. Be sure you have some reason to hide your spots, and then maybe do it by taking pictures that exclude the scenery and just contain hands fish and some 6 sq ft of water. This is just a stupid outcome of a decent thread.

Not sure if any of this little rant is aimed towards me? But yes I actually could tell that spot by the brown rock and the sand patch. I fished it today for a bit, didn't see anything, nor did I hook anything. Seen a young kid about 7 years old fishing while his dad followed him about while reading a book and carry a bucket of worms. While me and a buddy walked down to the next spot we chatted with the father showed him how to tie a bait loop, made sure he knew about barbs being pinched, retention of only hatchery fish. Talked for a bit about spots where steelhead will hold in different water conditions and how they're harder to catch than salmon. We ended up giving them like 4 colorados, and some leaders. He asked what type of rod setup I was fishing (centre pin) and how its different/better from other techniques. He asked what my reel was worth and nearly shyte his pants when I told him LMAO. Told him about the site telling him that there is a bunch of info that they could learn with a lot of links to how-to videos and stuff.

I took them off because they look like crap with all that white stuff on it. : If you want to post pictures of your fish, post them and if you don't want people see where you caught them, then take Profs advice "take pictures that exclude the scenery and just contain hands fish and some 6 sq ft of water" otherwise why even post them? They look like crap and make you look silly, I would rather read a report with no pictures, than see that!

Also, who ever posts their report and doesn't disclose its location, show some respect to the poster, don't try to be the hero and guess where it is in the thread. :wallbash: If he wanted to tell everyone where it was he would have. If you want to ask the person where he caught his fish that is fine, send him a private message, PM, some of you guys sound like a bunch of vultures everytime someone Post a report!

No more "nice fish" posts? Ohhh man! Just kidding. It would be nice to have no responses but then a lot of info wouldnt be learned. I find a lot of info comes from peoples reports when a question is asked to the original poster.

YG rather than cropping the pics so badly, why not post the report in the 100 posts section?

I'm not really sure,but I hope, that the outcome of this thread is so sad, is not because of my reply in the begging of this thread if so, I give my apologies to the original poster and all the members of this forum.
Again I say if so,I did show respect to the poster as I said "good job"in the beginning of my reply,the other part of my reply was said "I still know where that is exactly" simply because I was joking,and it looked silly to me that he had to erase some of the footage just to hide the spot where he was fishing.
Personally I think the backround of the picture is what makes so beautiful.
To make my message short and not ruin the fun of this thread,I will say sorry again, if I did offend anybody,as I don't feel like that I should be explaining myself any more.

riblovac and Shane, my rant wasn't so much aimed at any one or two individuals, as at a trend I have noticed in quite a number of posts in the last months. If someone wants to identify the water I am catching fish on, and I have not identified it in my post, feel free to PM me. That is what we have PM's for. A poster who has taken pains to keep the location quiet needs to have his/her wishes respected. They have shown you the great courtesy of sharing their catch with you, show some class towards them. eace: By the way Young Gun, those were some very nice fish.

Rick, his pictures weren't hurting anybody, there was no poor handleing of fish and they are not innapropriate photos. Although it is your website and you can do what you want, I don't think you should have done it.
