after reading the thread about the false creek gas deal, I started wondering why is it so hard to find marked gas with no road taxes in it for boating on the lower mainland.Just think why are we paying for transit and federal goverment road taxes for gas that's used on the water? Go to Van Isle, northern BC or even in the central interior and you can find many gas stations with marked gas at reduced prices for you boat. I can't seem to find it at all around the lower mainland. Why is that?

Marked gas is primarily used for farm vehicles, atvs and other off the road vehicles but its ok to refuel boats there too. Thats probably why its hard to find in the lower mainland. I get my purple gas at the Co-op in Aldergrove. You save about 10 cents/litre over regular gas.
