Half a dozen mouse traps baited with bits of peanutbutter coated napkins...Check every week or so and reload...They will get the picture pretty soon, or you will kill all the travelling mice that hop aboard your boat..
I store my boat in a locked building and the rodents still climb aboard,so then they DIE!!!!
My daughter says I'm heartless,,,she's right when it comes to those filthy creatures
The stick flypaper type traps work well too .but get pricey if you use a bunch....
It is cheaper than the cleanup and potential damage though..
or get the glue trapps at walmart their cheap, non toxic and work well.the name of them are called tom cats another thing that works well to keep them from coming back and to get rid them are the ultrasonice devices  i recently had a little probelm and 1 and a half weeks later problem solved and no mess to clean up either.
my parents have these thing you plug into the wall out let that they use to keep the mice and rats out of the chicken coop and they work pretty damn good i dont know what they are called but they work good they get them from either rona or walmart
