Is Mike lake not a walk in lake? Never been there. but from experience with back problems hiking is probably not a good idea

Are you fishing from shore? If yes then mike may not be a good choice. It is not a hike in lake but there is not much shore area available. If you have a boat then it is ok.Weaver I don't know. You may want to try buntzen with or without a boat it will probably work. There is a good dock beside the boat ramp to fish from. And there is mill lake in abby.good luck.

Hi
Tahnks for the response. Mike Lake is near Golden Ears park. I have a inflatable raft for him to use and I always usually use a float tube. We are going to fly fish and he can troll his fly. I was at Dear Lake in Burnaby yesterday and saw no insects-maybe it's too early for good flyfishing? I cast a few flys but had no luck but I didn't spend all that much time fishing.
Cheers Bill

Mike Lake is a good choice for you guys. Easy to get raft and tube in. Drive to parking lot and walk down path to new dock. Let us know how you do. 8)
