This region often seems neglected so I'd thought I post more about Erie Lake (since I go there almost every week)

Went out on Sunday (still caught the end of the super bowl :D ) It was great day. Nice and warm (which helps when you are standing in 6 inches of slush)

I thought we did great last week but yesterday even blew that out of the water.

40 Perch
5 Bass (biggest 18 inch !!! smallest about 13 inch)
1 Walleye.

We have NEVER caught a walleye in Erie before. My father-in-law thought it was just a BIG bass and called me over
to help him get it out of the ice. Luckily, I was little slow getting there otherwise I might have lost a finger

Here's some pics.

Thanks,

Spring is usually a bit slow but I think we might try jigging on the ice edges this year and see if we get any luck.

The late summer/fall is usually pretty consistent. We don't keep much in the fall but we catch anywhere from 5-10 Bass
depending on the night. We pull lots of perch out but not as big as these.

I started fly fishing for Bass last year and could almost keep up with the spin casters!!
