I'm taking a begginer fishing this weekend, and I'd like some suggestions on what to set him up with. I will be flyfishing, but he will be short-floating, and I don't know what to use to catch chinook --wool, spin'n'glos?. I bet you guys have some ideas though. And we can't use bait.

Spin-n-Glows should do the trick, the lower the water clarity the bigger the glow. I've had luck with army truck colours. You might want to throw a couple of egg sized plastic beads above the hook to compensate for the lack of roe. Spinners work too, just be mindful that the bigger they are, the more flow you need to impart the action. Hope that helps and good luck! :thumbup:
