To all Sport Fishermen of Canada,

It is with great pain and sadness that I share the news today of the passing of a Great Man.

Bob Jones died Aug 18 after battling an illness for the past couple of months.

An avid fisherman, outdoor writer, husband, father, and in more recent months my mentor in the WSA, he will be sadly missed by all.

I only wish I had more time to get to know him better.
All of us who fish owe Bob Jones a debt of gratitude.

Interesting. I was just reading an article that mentioned Mr. Jones. Quite the man I understand. A sad day. I think I'll tie up some Weigh Westers for this weekend and honor him by doing some fishing...
