after reading the reg's for freshwater i see natives need no salmon stamp or fishing licence to fish in freshwater (understandable), but i look on the dfo(foc) website to see if they need one to fish in saltwater i find nothing of the sort! does anyone know if first nations need a saltwater fishing licence to sportfish tidal water? because i know they harvest fish and shell fish from the ocean!

Not to get people angery but natives don't need a lic. if they are willing to get angery about not haveing it. The bullies and others folks DFO uses to enforce there rules are impitonet when a status card is shown. Is it right? Probably not but it works. I know, a friend of mine has done it before mind you she is a lot better looking than me. It is like smoking a Jay while walking down town... illegal but OK.
