My kickers are kicked...Got a pair of simms freestones last year with spikes and they are worn out...For the cost of repairing um I decided to hell with it and bought some others and will keep them for back up...The freestones were too big for me and I had to wear wading socks over my waders and they were still big..(Made the mistake of buying a size larger then I wear as my other pair were too tight)
Anyways, the guys at Reaction hooked me up with the simm g3 guides and I don't think I've ever worn or seen such nice boots...damn comfortable and tons of support...Not cheap but IMO well worth the money..Check um out if you are in the market for new kickers and spend allot of time on the flow..

But seriuosly, these are great boots, and now with about 15 days in them, they are worked in and so very comfortable. ;)

I bought a pair of the size 13 G3's as well a few months ago but unfortunately mine are still dry and clean. So no real report from me other than they certainly are well built. Moderate cost for good quality.

Oh crap - I just checked - they're made in China. Lead based pigment in the black rubber portion. They've been recalled and are now banned from our local rivers for fear of lead poisoning our streams. :wallbash:

As I've said many times before...I have had a pair of Cabela's Master Guide Boots for many years, and other than replacing the felt soles once, I haven't been able to but a mark on these boots. Comfortable, lots of support, and literally bomb proof...best of all, they're only $69 USD! I like top quality gear (my waders are Simms G3), but I also demand that they perform beyond just the label and looks...and these boots fit the bill.

BTW...a good friend of mine who I fish with was the one who first turned me on to these boots. He's had his pair longer than me, and even though he fishes a lot more than me, he can't put a mark on his either.

No one...they are a proprietary branded boot for Cabelas, and you can only mail order them. I usually order from their website and have them shipped to my Sumas address.

If that's true this news has not made it's way to the internet. I can't find anything on it. I called the local fly shop (simms dealer) and they haven't heard anything. Please post this information that you checked. I'm sure it would be of interest to a lot of people on this site. I'm not calling you a liar because I can't think of a reason why someone would make that up, unless they were trying to degrade the name of a company. It's definately possible with what we've learned of late, but I think the shops would have heard about it if they were indeed banned from local rivers.

Finally recieved my G3's with studds built into them. This is the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. My last pair were L2's with studds. These lasted 2 1/2 years which translates into about 275 fishing days give or take a couple days. I found the L2's on the narrow side. G3's are a wider boot, much better for me.... I have bought other brands in the past and they have not stood the test of time very well for me. If there were no G3's I would have puchased L2's again forsure. Just my :2cents:

 sage
