Got up early this morning, picked up my dad & Scruffy, and drove out to the Vedder before first light. Hiked our way in through the bush for about 35 minutes to a nice little hole that we had previously scouted and found a couple of months ago. As soon as the sun came up we geared up and hit the flow hard with many of our special roe cures.
;D A couple of casts in and Scruffy already has a nice hatchery ho on. After I help Scruffy bonk his fish my dad yells out "fish on". He ends up pulling in a bullet chrome 8lb. marble jack. Finally I get to get a couple more casts in and then wham! my float goes down hard. I end up landing a nice hatchery ho myself. So within about 45 min. we all had our dinner landed. We kept fishing for a few hours and were constantly pulling in jacks, coho, and the odd dirty pink. By the time we left we each had our limit of 2 coho and 2 jacks each. All of the fish we took were clean and chrome.
one of my coho
scruffy's two jacks,
the larger one had sea lice on it when he pulled it out!
