just wondering how the upper island rivers, nimpkish, artlish, cluxewe, eve, quatsie, tahsish and zeballos, are fairing right now, and if anyone is having any luck. heading up that way and wanting to toss out some flys/gear for some steel. i know you "north islanders" dont like giving much info out but any little bit would be great. pm me if necessary. cheers tuber.

Couple of those rivers were hot a couple weeks ago but havent heard anything recent. The Eve isnt open to fishing anywhere above 5.5 km below the highway bridge and hasnt been for as long as I can remember. Check your regs if you arent familiar with those rivers...

Zeballos is closed still, is always through the winter runs.

Did hit up a couple you mentioned about a week and change ago. Water was right high, and access even in the generally more easily accessible flows was more than questionable in most cases. Only found the odd fish here and there, nothing outstanding that's for certain. And we hit them HARD over a couple of days. Might be the odd freshie still to come but...
With this winter's constant deluge and high water events, methinks they likely came a tad early. Results of fishing up that way 3 weeks ago suggested that, as there were many more fish around than our last go.

That said, I'm off to Zeballos again tomorrow, hoping to get out and chase some springs. Should we get weathered in and have another boo at the little flows, I'll try and post something from the cafe at the hotel there.

Cheers,
Nog
