Welcome to California!

The Eagles wrote a song for you.."Welcome to the Graveyard California..."

I'd assume --what with all the improvements---that you'll fare better than last season....
0-5 vs the Dicks, 1-3 vs SJ, 1-4 vs Kings.

The NHL representatives from the Golden State await the arrival of the rival.

A telling week, though still early. Cheers...

Nice result on the SJ game, but they really didn't deserve the W. The only reason they weren't rolled over was the stellar play of Miller.

I do like what I've seen from the team so far this year, but they came out flat-footed against the Sharks and were outplayed for the first two periods. They stood up in the third period - which was encouraging.

I haven't looked at the ice time for the various lines, but it would be interesting to know how it compared to the Sharks. Desjardin has been spreading out the time, which should give the team better legs into the third period. Their record is good in later periods this season, so this may be contributing.

Similar score but not like when you boys had their ass handed to them at 5-1 in a game 7 of the playoffs after leading 3-0. Sh*t......that was history making as the 4th team EVER to blow a 3-0 lead. ::) Shockingly......Yappy was calling for the next round and saying the Kings were a brutal team. ::)

Ya.....I am pretty sure the Canucks went into some sort of graveyard before the weekend with the second best record in the NHL. 4 days and 3 games later on the other side of the graveyard and they are still owners of the second best record in the NHL. ::) Crazy stuff!! :p

Encouraging! Nice to see Lack bounce back and play a solid game against a tough team.

Bonino scoring in the shootout while Kesler blanked must have felt sweet.

Of course, Anaheim is thin on the blue line with injuries and illness, so we'll have to see if the Canucks can translate this to future success. But no matter how you look at it, it's looking like we can start believing last year was an anomaly.

How about that goal from the "little turd" Burrows. Oh, and who's tied for first overall with Tampa Bay (ok they have a game in hand, but points are still all tied up). If you're reading this Mikey, how much is 24 take away 18?? 6? Yup 6 points separate the Canucks and the Sharks (that's 3 games for the math challenged), but in a different direction than you thought, right BMM. Yeah I know it depends which teams you play how you make out in the standings, but we've played western teams (and the big Cali 3) 4 out the past 5 games. San Jose? 4 of 5 in the east , including a loss to that Eastern powerhouse Florida Panthers, by three goals.

p.s. Do we need to start a new thread in the Bistro sub forum? Big Mouth Mike's Crow Recipes

I guess the only thing worse than surrendering 5 goals at home to a bad team
-as well as a hat trick, and a goal with 2 seconds left in a period--is having the very first one
hold up as the game winner.
Nice to see Golden Boy Alex "Defence-Schmeefence" Burrows get burned for it, too.
