Was such a sunny day when I woke up in Kelowna today I had to head out to do some shore fishing! I took the dog with me and arrived at Okanagan Centre around 10AM. Hopped the pesky fence they have put up half way down the pier (the dog just fit underneath the edge). I started out the day float fishing using dew worms as bait. 1st rainbow hit around 1030am and was just under a pound. Hooked him in the mouth so I released him back in the drink! Second rainbow swallowed my hook and worm at about 11:15am and weighed in at 2.5lbs(keeper)! Finally I decided to do some casting with a wedding band before wrapping up the day. Was on about the 5th cast and wham! beautiful trout 1.4lbs!!(keeper) Finished up at around 230pm with 2 clean rainbows for dinner! Absolutely beautiful calm day out on the lake!! Always friendly people to chit chat with at the Centre and on weekdays boat traffic at the launch is pretty much non-existent! *Mental note* take my camera with me next time out!!!
