Old glass can make for good wall hangings, if your looking for the lodge look in your den or rec room. As for dollars "NOT", collectors want Greenheart & Cane; and Cane with a name/history to it. Reels are worth more, name again or odd-balls.
Cleanup is a good place to find parts, if you do your own repairs, you can never have enough parts. I picked up a bunch of old rods at last year's cleanup. I the mix I found a sweet old fly reel & a five & a half foot fly rod. Both collectors. The rod is glass, but what makes it a collector is the lenth, rod makers have not made rods under eight feets since the early 70's. My youngest daughter owns it now. When I introduced her to fishing bows in the Thom last summer she complained that the the rods we were using were too long and akward for her to use. So when we got home I refinished that short rod, (tried it out and it performs almost as good as my fast action graphite, surpise, surprise) and gave it to her. She loves it.
