I have a chance to spend a few days in the Forks area and am planning to do some fishing...if the water allows.

Any comments on the rivers, access, pontoon boat floats...actually any support would be gladly received. I have been told the best rivers are the Sol Duc, Bogachiel and Hoh.

Again, thanks for any info.

Even though this topic was just moved to the Freshwater forum, there is a thread that was started regarding th OP in the forum it was moved from.

The order in which you listed those rivers are generally the order in which those rivers will blow out as well. Keep an eye on the river levels

alot of things are blown out up there, if you go and things are too big you should look into goodman creek { off the lower hoh rd} if the roads are open it should have steelies and it is about 5 miles long so it clears out fast after a rain.

Hey Thrasher

Can't get to this thread...any other way to connect.
2 more posts and you can access it. I originally moved this post to Washington reports, and then I realized flatlander wouldn't have been able to see the answers, so I moved it back. You need 20 posts in order to have access to the reports section.

The Hoh is the first to blow out due to it's glacially fed. The Bogey & Calwah are in the middle and the Duc is the last. There isn't much bank access on the Duc unless you go high up. The Hoh offers the best bank opportunities, but as I said, it's the first to go out.
Pick up the most recent STS mag (just pulled mine outta the mailbox last night). it has an article specific to the rivers near Forks, including a map.

Good luck and post some fish porn. ;D

Also, if the budget allows, I'd recommend hiring a guide for the day. It's money well spent :2cents:

Another good guy is Jeff Woodward http://www.jeffwoodwardsportfishing.com/river.htm

He owns a B&B on the bank of the Bogey, which is where I like to stay when I'm out there

Also, the sportsman show is coming up later this month in Puyallup. Good place to gather info.
