I was heading out for an afternoon on the lake today and decided to buy my license and non tidal salmon tag online. It worked well on the Windows PC, but not on my apple Imac running the latest safari. Probably a issue with my apple safari plug ins.
One thing I noted was that I could print my official license over and over and over as well as save the PDF on my hard drive.
What stops people from just handing these print outs out to everyone they know.

Switch to Firefox on your Imac. It is a much more stable and usable browser, and once you get into it you will wonder why you ever used Safari.

If you get stopped by a CO and they decide to scan your tag/enter your number into the system they can find out. If there are 2 tags with the same number on them YOU better start running lol. I guess you could always photo shop it but Im sure there are ways for them to figure it out.

come on guys and gals do we really need another discusion on this topic?? we all know whats right and wrong, you make the choice. carry your OWN licence and I.D. so that you can be identified properly. we must remember these topics are read by alot of people(guests and members) and we would not want to give the wrong impression or wrong ideas on how to cheat the system. it does nobody any good to find faults in a system such as online licencing fraud. sorry for the rant, just my :2cents:

Not my intent to provide people with information on how to fraudulently obtain a license or beat the system, just a question. (result may vary)
Hadn't done a search on the topic to see it had already been hashed out. (My bad as a newby) :(
I hadn't read the apparent post that is already running with the same discussion... (I should have done more reading before posting)
Thanks for pointing this out for me.
fishnfvr, Every Day, Thanks for the answers. ID would be the first thing they ask for and I see upon closer look that the license does have a scannable code. I guess they will have portable scanners.
I suppose those disposed to fraud or illegal activity may try, but how relaxing a day or fishing can you have knowing you could be minutes away from loosing your gear and possibly your ride.
We can let this die and I will read up on the other current post.
