Fished Pennask for a couple days this week. The road in was worse than ever (4wd). Considering the lake is at about 4700', the water was on the warm side. Fishing was steady as we landed about 30 fish in two days of hard fishing. Dragons (green darner) and scuds were the usual pattern, although a black/maroon leech also worked. A couple came to the surface for tom thumbs and stimulators. Largest fish was 14", most were 10"-12".

Dinsdale.

Sounds like it was decent fishing - 30 landed in two days - how many anglers? I am also surprised the dry fly action wasn't non stop.

Two anglers, one boat. It was too windy most of the time to work the surface.

camping at Penask

We are planning on a trip into Penask in the next couple of weeks, the road is tough on the camper and the campsites are not the greatest when you get there, does anyone know if you can camp at the lodge?
