Going up to this Lake on the weekend. Never fished there and was looking for some advice. Maybe too late but going to give it a try anyway. Thanks for any help. 8)

One of those known "tougher" lakes to fish, but has the potential to give up some beauties if you can solve the riddle. I'd be sure to concentrate what ever my offering was near the bottom where the temps are cooler. Bloodworms fished a foot or two off the bottom can work. As would Micro leeches, and damsels. If you plan on fishing at dawn dusk or at night, then the shallows would be a great bet. In hot temps and weather these times of day can mean feeding time on the shoals, weeds and shorelines. It should be caddis time, or close to it. So some dry and nymphs are a must to pack along. Good Luck! Look forward to the report.

Thanks for info greatly appreciated.
Try mayfly nymphs. was up in the area and tried everything. didnt see any in the water but figured what the hell.threw on one of those little guys and the fish responded like mad!
I can only agree ........ micro leeches, damsels ...... specially in light green seem to work great. At night the shallows can be deadly with a ghompus.

Good Luck!!!

Was there just a couple weeks ago. Only fished it one day as we fished another lake while up there as well. Got 5 in that day and the biggest was about 6lbs. Got all 5 on a red carey. My buddies were all getting their fish on the gomphus.
