I have my boat moored there and usually fish at the coal port or near point roberts.... reports from people at the marina says that fishing the point with downrigger is pretty slow....good numbers caught at lili island using buzz bomb, mostly wild cohos or too small springs....
We have a cabin on Crystal water beach and I fish PR quite often. You can catch jacks like crazy in front of the cabin at this time of year, but the fishing is really slow, and has been for some time. I would fish closer to the coalport.
If one does fishing near Pt Roberts one is in US waters thus being a Canadian I would have to get a Washington state fishing sport lic. but does a boater also have to radio US Customs to inform them your in entering USA waters??? God bless
