A very doable paddle! A long haul for sure. If you are going to be fishing my friend I don;t know that you can make it all the way to judd road. That's alot of water to cover about twenty mles or so. But sounds like fun. I hope the river stays nice and low for ya! Be safe and as the elders always have said " Never turn your back on the river!"
I would suggest that you put in around 25 or 27 mile and pullout at the 20 mile bridge. That's a good days fishing!

10-4 ............We are still planning the trip, and we will likely shorten the drift so we can get in some fishing. Thanks, Hotrod...........may see you out there.......Ortho 8)

I would give yourself the whole day. A few buddies and I did it a few years ago and I was totally exhausted when we finished. There is soooooo much flat slow water and the whole paddle took about 7 hours.

When you say '7 hours' are your referencing the OP's plan to do the whole thing or the suggested alternative from 27/25 mile to the 20 mile bridge?

Is 27 or 25 mile indicated by any markers or landmarks?

This will be our first drift, any tips or painful lessons we can learn in advance from others days on the river?

I appreciate anything you can provide to make our first drift a good one.

Thanks in advance.

There are white signs on the side of the road for every mile you reach. Just past the 27 mile marker there is a memorial on the side of the road, you can't miss it,this is good place to put in and away you go to the 20 mile bridge! That's alot of river to cover so be safe and have a good one. It's a fairly easy drift just stay away from log jams you can get into trouble here.
