was out @ the Vedder yesterday, i'll report on that later along w/ a weeks worth of fishing as I'm enjoying some time off (forced by the wife  ) . But.. to the poor bastard up from the states yesterday. Oh man I feel for you. Seems as though after landing and cleaning what could only be described as a bonified lunker, he puts his prize into the back of the pick up and drives off....WITH THE TAIL GATE DOWN!!! well 1+1= fish slides out and off he goes. I did not witness the fish falling out but 2 gentlemen saw it relayed the story to me and a couple others @ the hole we were fishing. I left shortly there after and lo and behold there is this very nice 35lbs+ monster sitting on the shoulder not 35ft from where he was parked. I was parked right behind him. Now faced w/ the dilema do I take the fish home for the smoker or do I hope that somewhere allong the way he relizes his beauty is gone and re-traces his steps. I opted for the later despite it being at least 45mins since the event occured. So if your out there my man and need verification so that the wife will believe you did catch a lunker...post back and I'll verify. BUt hopefully you relized what happened and your fish was still there when you returned. if not someone got a whole lot of fish w/ very little effort.

Ouch. Sounds like the fella I saw loose the top half of his Sage fly rod on a chum.  Not secured tight enough. Pop!... and his small fly which had popped out of the fish, slid right through all the guides..Ba..by.. :? He had drove quite a ways, and with no back up rod, his day was done early. He did try and search in near chest deep water, but no luck.

Finder
