Anybody have any recommendations on where one might stay in Port Hardy and inside info on the fishing? Lodges, camping?

I would suggest the Quarterdeck. Are you taking your own boat up there? If so, then definately not Duval Pt Lodge. And if you're not but still want to go fishing, give me a call at 1-888-281-2275, or check out our website at www.serengetifishingcharters.com. We catch a damn lot of fish!

If you are camping i would highly recommend Quatsie river campground , If you want to try the mouth of .quatsino sound, good coho & spring fishing , but a 20 mile run from Coal Harbour , but it is some what protected from the wind , if it is windy on the port Hardy side you can fish in the sound ,check the regulations you may be able to keep wild coho there , good luck
