Pothole lake

I was just wondering if anyone has ever been here, or heard anything about the fishing here. It's on the OK connector, and the turmoff is about a half hour out of Merritt. The lake itself is about 500 horizontal feet from the highway, but to get there you have to drive another 10 mins down the highway, then turn onto the gravel, then drive for 18 km and another half hour before you arrive. I tried to find it last year, but it got dark on me, and I spent a long time driving around in the woods at night. I went back a few weeks ago, and found it just as I was about to give up. It's a really nice looking lake, I think its only 3 Hectares in size, and must be over 100 feet deep. There seemed to be a decent amount of surface action happening, but I could only manage 2 hookups with small fish, both of which got off. It looks like its rarely fished, and is a nice place to camp. I'll probably go back later in the season and try it again anyways. Oh yea, I have some pics of it too, here they are.

And a few more pics from the rest of my trip, including my new toy, and my big buck from Harmon.

It's a great little lake, a little finicky at times, but lots of smaller bows to be had. Access is not as easy as it looks from the freeway.
Hmmm too bad there werent some bigger guys in there :-\
Looks like a nice lake with some good sholes and drop offs. There may be some big guys in there, they just havnt been caught yet. Think optimistic
not to sure if this is correct, but years ago i had a map from the old aspen grove store and it showed you could access pothole by continuing on past kentucky/allenye lakes. i know the road splits up here as i used to fish these two lakes but never did try to go to pothole. if memory serves the righthand road just goes around to the far side of kentucky fot the camping and the left one goes down allenyne so i'm guessing the center one may go to pothole, there is also another lake up here but i can't remember the name. you may get more info of you post this in region 3 area
Yes, that is the correct road. Where the kentuky/alleyne road underpasses the highway is only about 5 mins from the exit off of the highway that I took. From there it is still a confusing drive  I'll probably check it out again this summer, see if I can wrestle some monsters out

Any updates on what it’s like to fish here?
