Hey guys,

Planning a trip (without a boat) from May 20th until Early June. Gonna do lots of photography but would like to get some good fishing in as well.

I was wondering if anybody has ever been there that can recommend 3 things:

1 - Self-sufficient cabin rental?

2 - Charter captain out of Masset?

3 - Where to shore fish in May? I read somewhere that there is possibility of halibut from shore at the mouth of Hiellen River in the Naikoon Provincial park during low tide. Man would that be awesome!
Ive got some pretty heavy surf gear from another fishing trip to AK.

thanks in advance!

1. I have a b&b / lodge in Masset or google "Rapid Ritchies Rustic Rentals Reasonable Rates" no kidding!
2. www.fishmasset.com
3. Need to be out a bit further, try the Blow Hole, spinc caster reel, long rod, 4 oz bannana weight, circle hook , squid or octopus. Success rate is not very high from the shore line at this end of the island as it tends to be very shallow a long way off shore...
