almost all the lower mainland lakes are now stocked with catchable rainbows now

was out with my son yesterday at one of them and he caught a couple of rainbows..

1 just using a float with worm, and 1 with slip bell sinker with green powerbait.

I caught 1 at almost sundown with a fly... don't think it really matters at this time as the trout are hatchery trout....

Its nice to get out and catch some trout close to home.
I've all ways had fun with friends fishing those small ponds, surprising how big some of the rainbows can get too.

ya.. ones we caught were around 10-12 inches.... which are d#rn large for just stocked.

I love going out after the lakes get stocked, I use a yellow pellet fly that kills them, the first week or two that they are in the lake

I enjoy visiting these lakes as well. Great place to take young anglers. I find it to be a good place to fine tune my fly casting as well as see how new patterns I have tied actually act in the water .

went to rice lake three times since they re stocked it

caught 1, 13 inch trout, the rest were around 10 inches anything smaller I let go
