Can anyone confirm if Rocky Point has started charging yet for this year? A buddy was going for a walk there and said that he thought it had no charge yet. Need somewhere (preferably close to New West) to take the new (to me) boat out to try it out....Sea trails..

Historicly I've done tons of launches from there. Unless something has changed, it's a 24/7 - 365 days per year parking and launch fee's. I'll admit though that I haven't been there since last October.....

To answer my own question. There is a money collection beast there. $15.00 gives you a ticket to put in the window of your tow vehicle to make sure it is still there when you get back. $15.00 to launch and park till midnight. I guess if you had a smaller boat that didn't need a trailer or were willing to walk a distance ......

I heard in the local rag that when they are completed all of those buildings and the new Boathouse restaurant there will only be like 6 spots to park your truck and trailer after launching.

They've put signs up on the roads so you can't park there for free anymore. $15! Wow what a ripoff.
