Rolled muddlers are a very versatile fly, springs love them as well. Try your cutthroat minnow patterns for steelhead, I know they eat them after today, I saw a guy bonk a clean doe steelhead, and when he was cleaning it out, I asked him i was curious to disect its stomach, (Gave me some weird looks for asking such a question , but i didnt care i wanted to see LOL !!!) and i was shocked to see its belly FULL of salmon fry !!!
