Hi there. i am just curious if there is any salmon rivers/creeks in the victoria area closer then nitnat/cowichan. appreciate any replys.

There are not a lot of choices for fishing in streams for salmon right around Victoria. You either head up to the Port Renfrew area, or the rivers you mentioned. If you don't have a boat, shore fishing can be decent at this time of year around Victoria for salmon. There used to be a site that had directions, advice on shore fishing in that area. It's an option anyways. Google it and see if it's still around.

Shame you can't fish Goldstream park (or maybe you can) there's always a nice run through there....

thats to bad i thought there would be some little side creek or something with some coho or spring in it if someone would let me know there secret spot it would be much appreciated. im only 15 just getting into to flyfishing and cant drive and dont have the time to go look around. my email is [email protected]

I would give shore fishing off of the break water pier a shot.... you may get into salmon but their are rock cod and ling cod that you could get into from there.
