hey guys me and my buddie are newbies and are going to point roberts this weekend and plan on taking his 14ft boat out on the water....is it a good time to go fishing?? what should we be using for bait?? what how many pound lines?? lures?? and what types of fish are in the area?? thanks :)

Years back US regs allowed retention on wild hoes( Fraser, Serpentine, Nik & little Campbell bound fish........boo ) & @ that time it was very easy to catch um just troll right in front of the lighthouse park on a running tide perferably when the direction of the water was heading towards Blaine

From the boat launch to the actual point was the usual hook up & 20ft from shore running 6-8oz banana weights & using anchovies or small herring on a teaser head, the depth, I'd ting off the bottom then reel 5-10 ft up just steer clear of the reef @ the point

In the fall fish out further on the ferry side the big Fraser whites mill & stage in that area
