Campbell or Pedder is a big spread of area???.
Could go to Sooke and try for some ho's, there has been a few..... Or I could pm a hali spot...from down this way
they have been good too

Thanks for the response. I will PM you re the Halis. As I live in Lanzville (near Nanaimo) it is about the same run either way. I have a buddy coming over from the mainland who does not get out much and I would like to get him into a few fish on the weekend. Fished China creek before the long weekend and only had 1 spring for three days fishings. I would like to do better this time out and would appreciate any recent reports that could help us target an area for our weekend adventure.

Just a post note update on Campbell River last weekend. Lots of fog in the Am, nice day after. Watched 3o odd boats up from the narrows get skunked and one boat land about a 10 lb. salmon, (not our boat). Nice wether, perfect conditions, too many fish in the water and not enough in the boat in seems. Followed up the next morning off of French creek with no better results. Tough fishing but a beautiful weekend on the water.

i was there on Saturday as well - i too counted 31 boats and only that one salmon. Interesting thing was that 80% of the boats were guided and stuck around even though there was no action. I took that to mean there was nothing going on anywhere so we left and headed to the Oyster where there were lots of Coho but no takers. Three days fishing around Campbell River and no fish - never thought i would say that....
