Went to Corbett for the weekend on the 25th of September, birthday gift, and fished the Saturday and half of Sunday. Mixed wind, sun, cloud, and a touch of rain with a variable barometer that dropped at night then slowly rose. Fishing was interesting with takes on everything from nymphs in shallow water on floating line, leaches/dragons/generic nymphs on sinkers, tentative strikes at a variety of drys, and very slow action on chironomids. The one consistent was that it was difficult to find any one pattern that would consistently bring on the bite, especially on the surface where there was actually quite a bit of action at times. As a result it was very frequent switching of pattern, line, etc. In the end, 3 or 4 to the boat in the 3-4 lb range, one biggie on that put up more fight than I've found typical of this lake, and a number of others lost at or near the boat. All in all, not a bad present!
