Hi all, I am planning a trip out to the Shuswaps and am hoping to get some fishing done. Any tips on hot areas, good lures, or anything else that may help would be very appreciated. Thanks.
Most people I talked to this time last year were fishing spoons on riggers beetween 20 and 50 feet deep. They were catching decent sized bows, lakers and dollys and bulls
If your in the area, then try out White Lake. Its right in between Sorrento and Salmon Arm. Good fishing there, average to see 2 or 3 pounders i believe. Try using a ford fender or willow leaf with a wedding band and worm. Should catch you some fish. Dont forget your tag for Shuswap Lake. Good Luck
This fella has alot of good info on Shuswap lake and really fishes it alot http://www.reelfishingadventures.net/index.html
Anytime I have been out there plugs or Apex's seem to do the trick .. anything that looks like a kokanee and the fry should be plentiful right now . Try kokanee killer (small apex's ) or wedding band and worm as well
Oh yeah and make sure you read the regs for the closed area's etc

Try Murdoch Point or the mouth of the Adams and use streamer patterns if fly fishing. Go at first light. Afterwards, go deeper. Bring a sonar to locate fish. Be careful of wind and waves. Talk to Shermonator at Reel Fishing Adventures. Good luck and let us know how you do!
