I couldn't get out for the opening today, just wondering if there was any action?
Also, I have only bb'd at Hope and am wondering how things are done on the Shuswap. Any tips much appreciated.

Float fishing is the norm. I thought about fishing below the falls near the ballpark last year but it looked klike a gong show and the fish were few and far between and not very fresh so I headed to Hope instead.

Any one looking for some company

I've been in Vernon BC for about 8 months having moved from the UK, but a life long fisher (so about 25yrs being 30yrs old).

Does anyone fancy some company trying for the Shuswap Springs? (or anything else for that matter) I'm not after just trying to find other people spots, I've already been out and had a scout round where I can fish in the lumby area. My biggest problem is knowing the "etiqute" when approaching a pool with other anglers fishing, I don't know if to ask where is Ok to fish, or just grab a spot. You guys fish much closer together than I am used to back in the UK so I know I'll be fishing close to others but don't want to offend anybody.

Anyway if anyone fancies some company it would be good to hook up.

tight lines,

cheers,

Paul.

just came back from mable lake. had luck the other morning just down from the south end store and landed a 22lb chinook. in in 36 feet of water it was 25 ft down. and also had the pleasure of the DFO pulling me over to check my hooks and tags. all was well but scared the bejebers outta me when i saw them coming at me at the last minute, didnt know who it was at first.thought i was going to get rammed man they like the surprize factor. on a green spoon with downriggers for those who may be headed that way...
