Need some help me and my buddy are planning a fishing trip up north. We never been to this river. What I need to know is we plan on fishing this river then hike into Trimble Lake, The fishing book says there is a turn off at mile 255 it also states there are goverment camp grounds there along the river. So how far if there are (any roads )in there will they get us in ther. And how good or bad are the roads. I know there are horse trails going to Trimble Lake then a nother 20 k walk to Redfern Lake. Also what would be good tackle to bring to fish the Sikanni Chief River.
Thanks I could a bit of help
I also know there is lots of wild life

Unless they have changed things you will find a gate across the road at about 30K ( near an old landing strip), No vehicular traffic beyond that point other than ATV's then another 30k or more to Trimble lake. However you can only go so far on ATV's then you must walk or go by horse to the lake.
The area is the Muskwa / Ketchika management area.
Went for my first Elk hunt in there a few years back, totally awesome.
Check it out in the hunting regs http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/wild/documents/h&t_synopsis_06_07.pdf
