I just saw a news report on a proposal by Okanogan County , in Washington, to damn the Similkameen River, with the potential of flooding the valley as far upstream as Cawston BC. Is there any opposition to this being voiced in the state. The one thing that might prevent the reservoir being allowed to extend into Canada, is the existence of a First Nations Reserve in the valley just north of the border. Still there is nothing to stand in the way of a lake being formed that extends to the boundry.
