Skagit Duck Unlimited and Washington Waterfowlers Association will be hosting the 2nd annual Waterfowl Festival at the Stanwood Sportsman Club, Aug 9th in Stanwood, Washington.
This is a one day event that will include Duck and Goose calling competitions including the Washington State Championships, Trap Shooting competitions, seminars, vendors, pro staffers, Raffles, Auctions, food and tons more.
Calling
Youth Duck - $15 includes call and clinic
Novice Duck -$25
Washington State Sanctioned Duck
Open Meat Duck -$35
Open Goose -$35 (may be a two man @ $60 per team)
Prizes will include decoy trophies like last year as well as about $1,500 in merchandise. Sanctioned prizes provided by WWA and winner goes to Stuttgard, Arkansas for the worls championships.
Trap Shooting
We will have one main competition as last year, gun as first prize, entry will be $20, limited to first 50 shooters signed up.
There will also be a youth shoot, a turkey shoot for a big prize, and a few other small shooting games, practice rounds will be available also
Silient Auction
about 35 items or so total, including prints, decoys, trips, etc
General Raffle
Biggest raffle yet, with Five to Six guns, and tons of gear, sponsored by sportsmans warehouse, about $6,000 in total value, early bird tickets will be available at $100 for $225 in tickets and $50 for $100, tickets will be available the day of the event as well
Fish & Game will have set up with classes and Q/A sessions
There will be an archery range to test the latest bows and consult with prostaff regarding fitting for a bow
GPS and dog training classes, and we are putting together lots of vendors as well.
Admission will be $10 for adults, $7 for 15 and under, no charge for under 5
lunch/snacks/drinks will be availabe at the event.
