Well, my Monday trip to the river turned into a Tuseday trip to Langford Lake. I rode the 7:00 am. bus out of Vic. and had a line in the water by 8:30. My first time out there, and I've got to say I'm impressed. It's a nice walk in and there is a good fishing dock that shold produce fish for anyone other than me. I have an excuse though; the lake was just stocked yesterday, according to the local I met, so I think the fish are still a little shy in their new home. It may also be that I left too early, because fish began showing all over the lake pretty much right when I packed up. But for anyone who is carless and reliant on an unrelyable fishing buddy, this is a great option because the bus goes right to the trailhead.
