Sockeye are a commercial fish not a sport fishery fish. I am shure there are not the numbers of coho, chinnok, or steelhead returning. Why not let the average person have there chance at taking a few.

Kinda sounds a little like a cash Grab to me. How about you?? Open for five days and alot of guys getting there tags, and then they shut it down. Does anyone think they will open it again for the sport fishery??

Good point Salmonator. First time I've heard that, but I agree. Sockeye seem to be more of a "commercial" fish than a "sport" fish.....hmmm....yeah, I think I like that...... :beerchug:
