Has anyone tried this product? I saw it in Canadian Tire . It was hiding on the bottom shelf and is very cheap compared to other monofilaments. Does the price mean its very bad?

the product is made by Pure Fishing and to have their name on it, the quality should be "reasonable". That being said, I believe it is a price point CTC exclusive mono and you should look for a higher quality line if you are salmon or sterelhead fishing.

That stuff is fine for lakes but I wouldn't be confident using it on the rivers around here.

JBB i'd give her a try and see how it is as its not as popular as the maxima or berkely products thats probably why its cheaper but i've used the regular spiderwire mono for my spinning reels and it seems to be fine . YG i belive the topic is about mono.

I have also purchased spiderwire and it is a decent line and trustable.

I have 6lb SpiderWire mono on my spinning outfits and IMO I think it's a great line. I purchased it at CT because it was $2.00 cheaper than anywhere else.

he is asking about mono. You can purchase both braid and mono under the Spiderwire brand name.
