The most tried and true meathod for getting big chrome slabs on the fly is to use big ol' nasty flashy flies, tube flies or flies tied on jumbo hooks seem to work best. Slow moving, really wide runs seem to have the highest concentrations of fish, let the fly sink on the swing then strip the fly like the fish is trying to steal it from you. The big nasty shiny flies seem to spark the most interest.
